Rockin' With The Beatles
One of the biggest genres in the gaming world is music. As it continues to grow in popularity, systems are always trying to deliver a game better then the last. The Rock Band enterprise has successfully accomplished this task with there latest version, The Beatles: Rock band. This game gives gamers an opportunity to take on the roles of musical legends; John, Paul, Ringo and George, as it gives them to experience what it would have felt like to belong to one of the most legendary groups.
After a long attempt and achieving the "go ahead" from The Beatles, the game that many thought they may never see is scheduled to release in September. The release is going to be a joyous moment for Beatles fans, and lovers of the music game genres.
Harmonix, the designers behind Rock Band 1 and 2 as well as the original Guitar Hero have managed to recreate 45 Beatles songs from all periods of their career. Users can play on the guitar, bass, drum, or rock out on vocals, karaoke style. From the pleasant pop of songs like "Can't Buy Me Love" to the heavy guitar riffs of "Revolution" or the unsettling psychedelia of "I Am the Walrus" Beatles fans will find many of their favorite songs available. Gamers can choose to play by themselves, with a group of up to three friends, or online with players from around the world.
Like the original Rock Band titles, downloadable content will be available. New songs can be purchased for a small fee through the online store. XBox 360 users will get first crack at The Beatles: Rock Band DLC, but PS3 and Wii owners will get their chance shortly after release as well. Pricing is expected to be in line with other Rock Band releases, meaning customers can expect to pay around 2-3 dollars per additional song.
There is one difference with The Beatles: Rock Band, that many may see as a drawback to the game. Due to the licensing restriction, you will only be able to play downloadable Beatles tracks with the Beatles game. There is not interactivity allowed with Rock Band 1 and Rock Band 2 tracks. The Beatles tracks will not be able to be downloaded onto your hard drive and you are also not able to utilize other DCL while playing The Beatles: Rock Band.
The Beatles: Rock Band is sure to be one of the biggest games of the year. Whether you're a long time Rock Band fiend or new to the music game genre, The Beatles: Rock Band is an excellent opportunity to experience what it's like to be the kings of rock and roll.
